WHY I WROTE THIS BOOK
Before I began consulting, teaching fashion business and dress pattern drafting, i owned a fashion house where i employed and paid tailors to work with me. then i discovered everyone avoided the plus size customers orders. tailors wanted to do smaller peoples cloths, leaving the plus size orders for just me. when we had more plus size orders, some tailors would make excuses not to be at work. I started enlightening those who wish to learn amongst them. most still preferred to do small size orders.
As an online Pattern Making teacher and fashion business consultant, I did an Instagram story survey, where it was discovered that many fashion designers and tailors are struggling with satisfying their plus size customers and they need guidance so they can apply their sewing knowledge to creating plus size garments that fit and are comfortable.
This gave birth to this book. it focuses on identifying different types of plus size bodies, how to style them to achieve balance. Pattern drafting Techniques to achieve fit and comfort and also educates designers and tailors about the mindset of plus size customers, their emotions, also to demystify misconceptions.
This Book also contains sales and marketing strategies for plus size garments, for Fashion brands and mass productions.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
My name is Tobi, I am a Pattern making teacher and fashion business consultant with over a decade experience. i have tasted both worlds as a fashion business owner and fashion school owner. An appraisal of my journey proved to me that I am more passionate about helping people achieve their life goals, i have done this consistently for years , either by styling and dressing them up for success, or enlightening them for them to be able to identify opportunities and attract success, particularly to your fashion business.
I am married to my loving husband and we have 2 beautiful children that add so much joy to our family.
